MTCTE
TEC directs all telecom equipment to undergo mandatory testing and certification (MTCTE) prior to sale or import for use in India.
The objectives of the MTCTE are
- Ensuring the Safety of end-users.
- Safeguarding users and the public by limiting radiofrequency emissions from equipment within established standards.
- Verifying that telecom equipment complies with relevant national and international regulatory norms and guidelines.
